Other Initiatives 

The Strategic Plans Department is situated within the Social and International Relations and Strategic Planning Directorate. This department concentrates its activity on the analysis, proposal and development of strategic measures which can be incorporated into the action plans of the ONCE Foundation. The principal areas of activity are as follows:

• Education and people with disabilities, promoting inclusive education. Mention must be made of the Reflection Seminar held in July 2008 entitled “ Education and People with Disabilities, present and future” and the publication of a book derived from the same as a reference element in regard to educative inclusion. • Corporate Social Responsibility: giving support to the senior management of the ONCE Foundation in its institutional promotional work regarding the disability dimension in CSR policies and actions in both public and private entities. An example is the support of the participation of the ONCE Foundation in the national CSR council.
• Development of strategic research and investigation for the ONCE Foundation and the disability sector, relating to subjects such as the new needs of the sector with special attention to emerging collectives and sources of financing, or the economical analysis of disability, especially relating to employment.
• Development of collaborations, amongst which mention must be made of the agreement signed with the Aequitas Foundation, belonging to the General Council of Notaries, under which actions are developed directed towards the promotion of bequests in favour of people with disabilities, as well as the promotion of employment in and accessibility to the notary sector.  Folleto   Guía
• R+D and innovation, having developed the task of catalysing and involving the organization in this key subject, for the development of specific strategic actions.
