The activity of this Department pivots around a principal group of objectives: that technology is accessible and usable by everyone, that it is a tool which is also at the service of people with disabilities, that ICT and other emerging technologies can contribute to people’s independence supporting them in the tasks of their day to day life, leisure and working life, making them more independent.

Promoting good practices in accessibility to ICT, training in universal design technology, collaborating in the creation of standards and guidelines for better accessibility to the technological media, are only a few examples of the activities which drive us towards the achievement of our objectives.
